MOXALITE

The Natural Way To Relieve Menstrual Pain & PMS

Base on Traditional Japanese Moxa herb heat treatment

 [Application Procedure]

The MOXALITE kit contains a set of 100 adhesive moxa, three incense sticks for ignition of moxa, and a brochure. Before you use self-apply moxa, read the instructions carefully. Beside the moxa kit, you need a marker pen, ashtray, lighter or matches. Then follow these easy steps;

(1) Peel off a moxa from the sheet by pushing the bottom gently. Each moxa
has a base that sticks on the skin

(2) Locate the points by referring to the diagram. Once you stick it on the point, ignite it with an incense supplied in the kit

(3) Moxa burns slowly for bout

a minute. You will feel heat increases after

it stops emit-

ting smoke

There is a 1mm gap between the moxa base and the skin, but the heat penetrates deep into the skin to increase the blood, Qi and lymph flow. The skin around the moxa becomes pink or red,

but no burn.

(1)  Locate the acupuncture points by referring to the diagram in the brochure and mark them with a marker pen.

(2)  Peel off the moxa from the cardboard sheet.

** Always push the base of moxa from the back of the cardboard sheet for easier removal. Do not pull the tip of moxa itself. It may break.

(3)  Place them on the acupuncture points. Make sure to attach them firmly on the skin so that they wonft fall off while burning.

(4)  Ignite them with an incense stick one by one.

(5)  Wait until each moxa burns out completely and no more heat is felt.

** You will feel the heat from moxa gradually increases after it stops emitting smoke. So do not touch or remove the moxa at the time when smoke stops coming out. It is still very hot! (The temperature of this moxa reaches 80 – 90 Celsius). The whole burning process of each moxa takes at least a few minutes.

Once the moxa burns near the bottom, you will notice the skin around the moxa becomes pink or red, which indicates the blood circulation there has increased substantially. The moxa heat penetrates deep in the skin and muscles.

(6) Remove completely finished moxas from the skin by giving a gentle twist on the base of moxa for easier removal. Discard them in the ashtray after confirming that they do not have any fire.

 [Cautions]

Do not apply moxa if you are in the following conditions;

l  Being pregnant for less than for 4 months.

l  Diabetic with healing problem of skin injuries and burns

l  Have very sensitive skin to heat

l  Have fever from a cold, flu and other illness

l  Being intoxicated with alcohol

l  Within one hour after a hot bath, sauna or strenuous exercise

(*you can do these things after moxa treatment.)

Also it is strongly advised to try one moxa on one acupoint of the leg as trial to see how it feels. If it feels too hot for you, remove it immediately. Then use a heat-adjusting adhesive white pad with a hole in the center (supplied in the kit) between the moxa and the skin to lessen the intense heat, and continue the treatment.

Depending on your body condition, the temperature of moxa may feel too hot or just comfortable or not hot enough. Because of this variation of the bodyfs perception of heat and despite precautions, it sometimes can cause a small blister on the skin. In that case stop using moxa and wait until blister heals completely. Usually it would heal within several days without putting any ointment or medication, however, it is advisable to use them, especially if you have delicate skin.
