Born in Japan, graduated from Tokyo College of Acupuncture, completed 10 year's apprenticeship under Dr.Kiyotaka Ohmura, renowned acupuncturist in Japan. During this apprenticeship, Dr.Kokubo treated over 60,000 patients. Licensed as a practitioner of acupuncture and oriental medicine by the Ministry of Health of Japan.

Immigrated to Canada in 1981, founded the current acupuncture clinic as the first Japanese acupuncturist in Toronto. He was a guest speaker at the medical department of University of Toronto, featured on Global TV, City TV, Roger Cable TV, Prime TV, lectured in USA, Australia, Spain and India. Currently a committee member of the Canadian Academy of Chinese Traditional Health Science, the largest acupuncture association in Canada.

He is also a co-founder and the president of AcuPro Inc. engaged in manufacturing and marketing his own health products "PressPoint" Kits worldwide.

His clientele includes Governor General of Canada, people from Toronto Symphony, National Ballet of Canada, Canadian Opera Company, Bill Wyman of the "Rolling Stones", country singer K.D. Lang, Hollywood star Geena Davis, etc.

HOBBY: Swimming (daily routine), Scuba diving, Sailing, Traveling & travel writing, Playing the flute and piano, Cartoon drawing.
